The Chinese Terracotta Warriors army was only discovered in 1974, by a farmer, looking for some water. After more than 30 years, this man stand in front of us, signing autographs all day every day of his life.
He maybe richer now, but deep down I am pretty sure he definitely regret the moment he did not find water.
The site is composed by 3 pits (there may be more) yet works are unfinished and digging are still on the way. The first two visited pits maybe somehow disappointing: a bunch of destroyed statues laying on the floor, some of them still standing. A couple of facial details and few points of interest can grab attention here.
The third pit really makes the difference. Getting closer reveals magnificent details: each statue has a different expression. That's more, it has a difference physiognomy. Watching all of them together is definitely breathtaking. This army is so huge and warriors seem so fierce that it still give the impression they are alive and ready to fight.
