Angkor, the Khmer archaeological site near Siem Reap - Cambodia (MAP) is the eight wonder of the world (SEE OTHER WONDERS), no doubt about it.
The site is huge and spread all over the country, three full days barely abblow to visit a small part of the whole complex. Still, it is definitely worth it a ride... It's more: you will go away with the will to go back soon and continue the exploration...
The wild environment and the decadence of the site - even though restructured - contribute to give Angkor a unique and mystic splendor
A special mention deserves the temple of Tha Phrom, left untouched and not restored by the government on purpose. Here nature and history merges together, creating an incredible wild scene
The landscapes appear even more beautiful for the presence of the water, which doubles the scenery and creates stunning effects.
